Rétrofictions (v. 1) is an experimental and collaborative artist publication that juxtaposes six photographic artworks by John Latour alongside works of fiction by Jennifer Allen, Marina Endicott, Cynthia Imogen Hammond, Lea Nakonechny, Eduardo Ralickas, and Jean-Éric Riopel. The erasure of history creates a space for new stories to be imagined.

Re fictions (v. 2) represents a partial erasure (and re-telling) of the 2012 collaborative publication, Rétrofictions,  where six authors were invited to write short stories based on modified found photographs from his art practice.

Fictions (v. 3) is the third and final work in a series of artist’s books beginning with Rétrofictions (2012) and followed by Re Fictions (2018). All of the text from the original book has been erased except for the title. Consisting entirely of modified found images, Fictions is a photobookwork.

Rétrofictions (v. 1) est une publication d’artiste de nature expérimentale et collaborative qui juxtapose six œuvres photographiques avec des œuvres de fiction par Jennifer Allen, Marina Endicott, Cynthia Imogen Hammond, Lea Nakonechny, Eduardo Ralickas, et Jean-Éric Riopel. À partir de l’effacement du passé, un espace pour imaginer de nouvelles histoires se crée.

Re fictions (v. 2) représente un effacement partiel (et une nouvelle version) de la publication précédente Rétrofictions (2012) dans laquelle six auteurs ont été invités à écrire des nouvelles inspirées par des photographies trouvées et modifiées de sa pratique artistique.

Fictions (v. 3) est le troisième et dernier volume dans une série de livres d’artistes qui a commencé avec Rétrofictions (2012) et suivi par Re Fictions (2018). Tout le texte du livre originel a été effacé à l’exception du titre. Composé entièrement d’images trouvées et modifiées, Fictions est un « photobookwork ».
